The Qasr Al Hosn Festival is an annual event held on the grounds of Qasr Al Hosn to celebrate centuries of Emirati culture and tradition.
The main aim of the festival is to strengthen the appreciation of Emirati heritage. The festival comprises a diverse public programme, a wide range of historically- and culturally-themed exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations and activities across the entire Festival area.
The Festival provides the UAE community and visitors with a unique opportunity to experience both the tangible and intangible heritage of the Emirate through the festival’s wide range of activities. This event will present the Qasr Al Hosn site in its historical context, putting Qasr Al Hosn on the cultural map and into the cultural life of Abu Dhabi today.
Building on the significant research and conservation undertaken so far, the team preserving Abu Dhabi’s most significant historic structure will share additional insights into their ongoing work during the Festival.
Qasr Al Hosn, which stands as the symbolic birthplace of the emirate, continues to undergo a comprehensive process of preservation, restoration and rehabilitation.
